A rare oportunity to purchase a good quality spindle moulder sliding carriage.

No makers name on this bolt on dedicated unit.

Believed to be from late 70s.

Retired joiner, self employed working from home workshop, I will, over the coming 18 months, be selling off all my equipment all of which has not been used since 2006.

In the years of woodworking, and going to trade shows, I never seen another like this.

Purchased in 1990 this piece of kit has served me well.

the base plate I had machined up in order to fit to two machines,
1) spindle moulder, for door stock scribes end moulding etc,
2) overhead router, to cut plough grooves for door linings. (deviation in trench depth from weight of crosscut head in travel)

Vee roller bearings gives smooth action. two fixed one adjustable.

clamping area approx 11 1/2 inches x 5 inches, subject to protective packers.

clamp spring assisted up from workpiece and can be set in two positions for increased clamping area with suitable pad.

Although no swing for angles I managed by cutting an appropriate fillet.

workpiece travel approx 18 inches

screw down clamp via a knob and handle of which that is fitted with rotating grip.

overall length approx 36 inches, table approx 11 x 14 inches.

very heavy piece of kit.

cash on collection, reciept given for bookwork.

£450. NO OFFERS

r and s tenoners usually go for less than this complete. especially single head ones
I dare say plus vat. Then one has to get the tooling, if off the shelf! Never heard of R & S so gladly appreciate their back catalogue of machines. Served me well for loads of batch work on both spindle and overhead router.
