spalted maple / birch ?

Don´t know if this is the best sub-forum to ask this, but can anyone recommend me a source for spalted maple (sycamore) or spalted birch? i only need small pieces (around 5 inch diameter). most of the stuff i see on ebay comes from the US and involves the usual shipping costs / customs nuisance.

I will cut up some spalted birch for fiewood in the next few days....... but I am very far from Portugal.

I fell ill so three very good birch logs that were waiting to be sawn got some spalting and discolorations at the ends. I must saw off half a metre from each end of all those fine four metre long planks.

i´m tempted, but as i told before my needs are rather modest. i only need a few pieces around 5 inch (maybe up to 6 inch) in diameter / wide and not much than an inch thick - they´ll be used to make a rosette for a guitar. i don´t know how expensive shipping would be from finland. If you´re willing to check that out and find the extra work worth it, i could be up for it. but maybe too much work for a smal piece of wood. i could have them shipped from the US but it´s 40 eur shipping + customs.
