I have a timber conservatory that has seen better days I intend to repair it but I won’t have time until next summer now. There is bare wood and the start of some rot. Can anyone recommend what I paint it with or do to limit the progression of rot until next year? Any advise would be much appreciated!

If you're going to repaint with oil based paint eventually, then linseed oil is a good way of keeping moisture out of the wood. Boiled oil diluted with turps will soak in and dry.
