Last night I confronted a large group of youths (about 30) after several snowballs were thrown at my living room window, I grabbed one, and because of the "red mist" I very nearly gave him a slap, I am not proud of this incident, I should not have responded as I did. In the past we have called the police (not only snowballs have been thrown at our windows, we get mud, stones, rotten fruit and also sachets of ketchup from a nearby fish and chip shop.
I will go to the police station today, but I can guarantee the advice I will be given is, "do not go out to these youths, if you touch anyone of them and they are under 16 years old, you can be charged with assaulting a minor", what the hell does a law abiding citizen do?
We live close to a hill where lots of kids go sledging, so tonight I suspect will be the same as last night, ie a large number of kids passing our door.
A very worried Baldhead.
