Early Saturday morning we are off to Taiwan for 2 weeks. We'll be staying with my in-laws for a few days and then heading into the mountainous area of central Taiwan. We'll be spending the Christmas period at Taroko Gorge. It will be the first time I have been to this part of the island - usually by the time we have visited relatives there is little time left, so I am really looking forward to it.

As a taster, this is the Tunnel of Nine Turns - the stone is marble:

New Year will be spent in Taipei, where we plan to visit this:

Since I have yet to pack, I am unlikely to be on here again before I go, so...
