That looks really good. The fact that there is no knife at the lower height should not be a big concern for anyone who knows table saws. A job well done. The new fence looks to be quite sturdy too.

Thanks John, I really appreciate it. i agree fully, the way it works gives me no cause for concern and it’s a whole lot better than the wretched splitter!
the fence is basically the one from Steve Maskery’s DVD’s. It’s a really simple but very effective design. Rock solid and accurate. I have another topic on this fence running.
