Has anyone on this forum found a suitable reducing sleeve to allow a proper connection between the SIP dust extractor and the SIP surface planer?
SIP tell me they do not provide such a sleeve. Where does that leave me, having bought both machines recently?
Is my expectation that the two machines be used together so unreasonable?
Any suggestions not involving sticky tape very welcome.
Fred.

Fred,

I had exactly the same reaction when I bought an Axminster 12 inch disk sander and was told they didn't have a connector. I have no idea why manufacturers are so sloppy in this regard!

The answer often is sticky tape which is of course a pain, or one of the multiplicity of adapters that are sold - a lot by Axminster. Sometimes you need two adapters to get between the sizes you have. For some of my kit I have made wooden adapters from thick scraps I had. On my bandsaw for instance I have epoxied a wooden ring around the outlet because it was a non-standard size. My wooden thingy has an OD that matches my DC hose.
