Has anyone on this forum found a suitable reducing sleeve to allow a proper connection between the SIP dust extractor and the SIP surface planer?
SIP tell me they do not provide such a sleeve. Where does that leave me, having bought both machines recently?
Is my expectation that the two machines be used together so unreasonable?
Any suggestions not involving sticky tape very welcome.

I had exactly the same reaction when I bought an Axminster 12 inch disk sander and was told they didn't have a connector. I have no idea why manufacturers are so sloppy in this regard!

The answer often is sticky tape which is of course a pain, or one of the multiplicity of adapters that are sold - a lot by Axminster. Sometimes you need two adapters to get between the sizes you have. For some of my kit I have made wooden adapters from thick scraps I had. On my bandsaw for instance I have epoxied a wooden ring around the outlet because it was a non-standard size. My wooden thingy has an OD that matches my DC hose.
