His wife died in 1935. He died before that, I think in a motor accident.
He worked for Heawood & Co and looks like he took over the business and named it Joseph Watson Studios.

Edit: Yes, he died from serious injuries in hospital after a motor accident in 1932. His wife was also a passenger and injured.
Car driven by a Charles Hollick - his sister also a passenger. Damages were ordered to be paid in 1933.

In 1935 Joseph Watson's nephew married the daughter of a Mr. Hollick
