Hi all,
I'm new to the site and find it very helpful. I'm building my first bench and I'm laminating 18mm birch ply for the two slabs of worktop. I'm planning on using pva glue and I've been trying to get an estimate of coverage per litre. Can anyone give an estimate of coverage?
Many thanks in advance.

You should be able to get somewhere between 5 and 7 m² per litre or about 50- 70 ft². I add about 5-8% water to the glue brand we use (when employed for veneering or laminating jobs like yours) which makes it easier to spread around with a brush, roller or one of the dispensing hoppers as used in smaller scale commercial veneering operations. A good viscosity to aim for is that of single cream, so it will depend upon the viscosity of the glue you use: PVA glues from different manufacturers, and even glues from the same manufacturer formulated for different purposes, can vary a bit in their viscosity. Slainte.
