After persevering with the clamps on my scroll saw.I have been practising with my scroll saw as it was quite and had a go at this little angel it is 3 1/2" tall and 2 1/4" wide made out of 1/8" thick ply. I have now got use to turning corners but still need more practice.

The angel looks great. When you come to a point and the blade needs to be turned in order to come back on the next line are you backing the blade up or just turning it as tight as you can. If you are not backing the blade up you are missing out on some fine points. Have you seen my short video on this subject, If not I will post it on here. The reason I mentioned this is that there are a couple of places where you could have done with a finer point but apart from that its really good, well done.

Thank you Chippygeoff I appreciate the feedback and would like a link to your video. I am backing up on many of the cuts sometimes I forget and just turn that is why I picked this subject as it had a few tight corners.
I like to practice on something that can be used afterwards so if it does by chance turn out OK then fine if not into the great wood pile in the sky it goes.
As I said still more practice needed.

Nice looking angel Dalboy, when you said you'd clamped your scrollsaw, can you explain what you mean?

Hi Dalboy. Below is the link to the video. I hope it is of some use. I made this for a lady in Manchester who was having a problem with tight corners.

The clamps I am talking about are the blade clamps for holding the blades
