Is the angle on P/T knives generally the same no matter the manufacturer...?

I replaced my Hammer A3 31 disposable knives yesterday in preparation for the finished dimensions of some Bog Oak and it crossed my mind about the angle of the cutting edge and whether they were all the same or a very similar angle. I believe the angles of hand planes are much the same as each other, depending on the style of plane, obviously!

Edit.
This is not intended to be the start of a "sharpening " thread by the way....! :D

It all depends on the machine and how the cutters sit in the block, IE how much rake the cutter has. It's usually around 40 degrees on modern machines but can be altered to suit the timbers you're working with, as it says in Fitzroy's Wadkin Manual. I've heard of some people burnishing a hook on their planer knives much like you would a card scraper but I'm not sure what that would help with.
