I have started to rebuild my glasshouse, this was made just 7 years ago but is showing some serious signs of rot. We made the glasshouse out of softwood then used a good quality paint which has completely broken down.

I am making the replacement out of pressure treated timber. We want a painted finish in white.

Would I be OK to paint the pressure treated timber with linseed oil paint?

There is very little in Google on this subject

I had trouble with primer on treated timber some time ago.

Thanks John

The more I research the less I want to use pressure treated timber. Have just found a supplier for Sweet Chestnut with reasonable prices. Beginning to think this would be a better option: https://co2timber.co.uk/kilndried.php

Sweet Chestnut is graded as Class 2 which would make it a lot more practical.

I reckon aluminium primer would be o.k on pressure treated timber.
