I don't know about a P/T but I've used a deWalt flip-over saw (DW742) as a "working-out" tool for many years and it has proven up to the job, if not the largest capacity in the world. It is big enough to crosscut/mitre cut most kitchen cornices, etc, but it won't crosscut a 12in board, unlike an SCMS. On the other hand it will rip down up to about 2in thick, is good enough for many joinery-size tasks and the induction motor is reasonably powerful. The main thing with them is top make sure you have somethink like a 3.3kVA or larger transformer as smaller trannies cause the capacitor starts to burn out prematurely
