One of the current blogs on FWW has a link to a gallery (and some interesting accompanying info) that lists what they believe are the world's oldest trees - there's even one from the UK.

Very interesting and there's some great old trees in there - not all what I was expecting, especially the last one

There's an old Oak in a local park here that' supposedly one of the oldest in the country. As kids we used to climb all over it, it's received decades of abuse from generations of little oiks but still stands strong. They've put a perimeter fence around it now, but it doesn't stop kids dangling off it every time I pass.

mmm how many bowls could I get out of it......
