Hi All,

A quick question if I may...

I'vd had my VB for a couple of years now (awesome lathe, i love it) but am getting a bit concerned over the oil reserviors lubricating the 2 plane bearings. The levels never seem to go down! Should I be worried?

If anyone on here has more experience I would love to hear it...if only so I can stop worrying :?

I have a VB36 and my oil hardly ever needs topping up- i've had mine for 7 ish years and have only used an inch or so out the top of the bottle which you get with the lathe. nothing to worry about. make sure you are giving the thrust washer grease nipples a regular top up- i do mine once every two days of turning time.
if in doubt give vb a call :?:
awesome lathe- enjoy it :D

thankyou blister / cornucopia, I will give Hegner a call...

It really is an amazing lathe...I suspect talent & time will always be my limiting factors!
