Up the proverbial creek
Bit of a long shot, this one, but someone might just know. Came across a load of "planer blades" this morning, approximately 2" across, about the proportions of an over-wide block plane iron I s'pose, slightly thicker than a standard Bailey iron iirc. Uncut, i.e. no holes or slots for a cap iron, and no machining for any other adjuster. Oh, and it was shaped something like this, the wide end being the cutting edge:

Ring any bells with anyone? Been won'd'rin' if I should pick some up for this 'n' that, but it's be nice to know if they're likely to be any good or just sliced cheese in disguise before I decide. :D

Hmm, interesting - thanks, Wolfgang. Something Continental would make some sense, given some of the other stuff there.
