Just got the news today that i'm in for
my op on Fri 11th at 8A.M. :D :D :D
My surgery is similar to Tom's just a
bit further up. I'm having a Discectomy
on C5/C6 to sort out my neck/shoulder
problems, I'm buzzing about it as i had
a feeling i would have to wait until the
New Year. I was dreading having to put
up with the pain over X-mas as last year
was rubbish, i spent most of the time in bed
so as not to spoil it for everyone else. :(

All the best with the procedure Kevin, hopefully you can look forward to a pain free 2010

Regards

Steve :D

Hope all goes well, lots of ops. around here lately, my wife had her first cataract done this week and she says its brilliant.

Best of luck mate :D

Prolly best to steer clear of medical books judging from the other thread...

Cheers everyone, as far as i know, i should be
in for 3 day's and wear a neck brace for 3 weeks.
This next few day's are going to the longest wait
ever  . Simon, no problem with looking at
Tom's pics, I was a Butcher for over 8 years
and regularly watch Hospital Emergency programmes
whilst eating. :p
I have'nt done any work in the workshop/shed
for over 3 years now iirc :? , and have a lot of
wood to Butcher on the lathe.
Thanks everyone, I don't post much on here
(or anywhere else), because of the pain and
the dreaded depression so hopefully the op will
give me the kick start i need to turn my life around
and hopefully be more involved on the forum.

:p

Cor blimey Blister you've got some neck

Best luck for the op Kev

All the beat Woodmagnet.. better get it done and out of the way.
Take up swimming when you can it helps with back probs, safe way to
build up your muscles with the water taking the weight of you body.
I know it is a bit of a bind going swimming but it will help.
I'm sure most local swimming baths have an adult session daily.
Again good luck & keep well...

Nice one Tommo  , Alex, i can't wait to be
able to go swimming again. I have'nt been able
to for over 4 yrs now, and i was a twice a week
swimmer before that, plus the regular summer
trips up to Stanhope in Co.Durham for a swim
in the river.
