For my original pot porri lid for the competition I seemed to have run out of time it involved turning a lid to fit in the pot and the rest hand carved and pierced using a scroll saw. It was quicker to produce the one that can be seen in the competition thread. Well below is how far I managed to get as I had forgotten to allow for time to get ready for a steam rally I attend. :oops: :oops: :oops:
I will finish it and make a new pot to fit it to.

Nice idea Dalboy, I would definitely be interested in seeing the finished lid and pot.
 
This could end up interesting as I would normally turn the pot first, this time I am making the lid and then the pot to finish mind you it should be no different if I had brought one. I have tried to make it about the same size as commercial available ones. Should be able to get back on to the lid tomorrow as I have had a day of rest after a very hectic weekend.
