Hi

The cherry trees in front of my house were being pruned earlier this year and I saved some of the branches from going in the chipper, tied them up and stuck them in my garage roof without doing anything sensible like sealing the cut edges.

They have since developed a light covering of mould where they've been cut. Anything I can do about this now?

Thanks

Ewan

I agree with Mark, just brush the mould away, wearing a dust mask if you deem it sensible. You can seal the ends with any old (or new) paint but I use mini pallet wrap (basically cling film) because it's quick & easy.
