First look yes. But a few minutes and it showed me it was still true, no bad pitting and still sound.

Warm Citric acid, dyed red for safety.

Using Nuclear Fission to cure the clear coat.

Fit for another few years.

Nice restoration. Is it still square? I picked up a couple of rusty squares and unfortunately both turned out to be out of square.

If it was dried in the sunlight (or ambient heat) then I think you’re right. IIRC, the sun uses fusion (by combining hydrogen atoms to create helium) rather than fission which is splitting atoms.
