HI all,
went for one of my Crissy Pressies off TLOML last Saturday.
Decided on my first biscuit jointer so picked up the 'recommended' Clark jobbie for £50. Not tried it yet so I can't comment on the tool itself, but when purchasing said item the conversation went thus:
Machine Mart Salesman: That'll be £58 please.
Me: Oh, and I'll need some biscuits too. How much are they then?
MMS: Err, about £4.50 for 100.
Me : Okay I'll have 100 of each 10's and 20's please.
Second MMS from across the shop: Here Tony, what about them biscuits we have on offer at the moment?
First MMS : Oh yeah...hang on...
then hands me a box of 1000 Freud biscuits (10's and 20's) and charged me 14 quid including VAT for the box!!!
So I gave him the money and legged it sharpish before they could change their minds!!
Dunno if this offer is on in all stores but it must be worth asking about.
