My planer and thicknesser's been working overtime this week, perhaps my favourite thing in the workshop. It's so effortless and easy! :)

I've got four black bags full of shavings now and I don't have a clue as to what to do with them next... I do love the smell though. ;)


Another hate to go on the list is the amount of time it takes to actually mark before cutting dovetails. I spent a good two hours in the cold earlier today, roof leaking all over the place. And after all that time, it seems almost 'wasted' with what you have to show for it.

I wonder if there's a machine for marking dovetails...
(I bet Norm has one!)
 
Oswaldo, not sure why it takes so long for you to mark them out. Typically, i mark them in under 5 minutes using a marking guage and dovetail marker from Brimarc here
