Many moons ago ! Lots of flying going on then though, gannets, sea furies, sea hawks and more I would like to have seen it back then when everything was new and not falling to bits ! Youll be pleased to know the blue anchor is still here and still the hub of activity on the anual 'flora day'. They specialise in home made ales, specifically 3 varying strengths of 'spingo' somthing like, cant speak, cant walk, cant stand !

Glad to hear the 'BA' is still going well, and yes, it was fun in those days. My job was prepping and servicing the experimental (then) torpedoes. So we fitted in a bit of seagoing and flying. Happy days, full of eternal optimism. I had never even heard of a sharpening thread! 8)
