I've been looking all over the net for a new drill driver and i'm very very reluctant to get a new cordless one. The one i would really like is a ryobi zrd47ck or a dc46CK. http://www.amazon.com/Factory-Recon...-Corded-Variable/dp/B003ZDG10M/ref=pd_cp_hi_0. It's a corded drill driver, with clutch. No batteries to care for or to replace and probably more powerfull than all but the most expensive cordless ones.

Is there anything like this in Europe or is this only for those lucky folks in the US ?

The one too caught my eye, but it looks like it is only available in the US. Did you find anything similar in the UK ?

Thanks

Personally I'd steer well clear of Ryobi, I've had bad experiences with their build quality in a couple of power-tools, a jigsaw and a small sander, and have heard stories in the same vein from friends.

I'd have a look @: this Bosch, or this Hitachi, or this Makita one (but I've got a feeling the Makita may be noisy compared to the others, a colleague used to have a similar one from memory).

Good luck with it. Cheers _Dan.
