Can anyone help?

I need to move a Sheppach HM2 planer/thicknesser.
I've read that the you have to wind the thicknesser table up and insert a couple of 4 x 2 wooden battens underneath the thicknesser table to lift the planer - stretcher fashion. This way the weight of the machine is taken / supported (?) by the thicknesser table - Is this correct?

Thanks

Certainly NEVER handle it by the tables however tempting they look as convenient handles

I think I'd put the 4x2s through on top of the thicknesser table and force them to be as wide apart as possible to take the load on the ends of the rollers.
Under the thicknesser table means the table elevating mechanism is taking the weight.

When I moved my machine, a Jet, I took it off the stand and so got rid of that weight and that of the motor too.

Good Luck
