surely it would be best to not waste time on a forum posting up this info if life is too short......

Life's really too short to talk about anything but woodwork.

Still, that's what this section is for.

To talk of ships and shoes, and sealing wax; and cabbages and Kings!

Or is that "shoes and ships"?

Either way, life's too short to complain about frivolous posts, in the frivolous (sometimes) section! So take no notice Davin.

"The time has come," the Walrus said,
"To talk of many things:
Of shoes--and ships--and sealing-wax--
Of cabbages--and kings--
And why the sea is boiling hot--
And whether pigs have wings."

Talking of cheap drills, I bought a fantastic set from Scr.....ix, 0-13mm in 0.5mm increments, all contained in a fitted metal container. They are truly fantastic on softwood or hardwood, expanded polystyrene, even warm butter. When it comes to drilling steel however, well that's another story. So I bought a set of Heller bits - now there's a difference. Here I go again, prattling on about cheap tools.
I read once, over 40 years ago, that 'cheap tools are sh*t, they may not smell but they are stinkers to work with'. (Source - the Last Whole Earth Catalogue).
