American huh! Probably a UNC thread (unless they copied Stanley's non-standard 7/32" 20tpi thread - but I don't think so).

Cheers, Vann.

That's solved a problem for me thanks. I managed to break the adjusting screw on my 110 the other day and thought "no problem, I'll just get a bolt to match and thread it through the wheel".
That explains why I didn't have anything in the workshop and the nut and bolt stockists couldn't help either.
I'll just need to keep my eyes open for a junker and rob the wheel off it.

Sorry for sidetracking your post.

I bought a few LN planes from Axminister a few years ago in a rash moment. At the time Deneb Puchalski was doing presentions in store. I asked him about the LN guarantee. He told me that their guarantee covered everything including accidental damage even if I'd been the cause. Ive never needed to take up their guarantee, but I've heard that they take pride in honouring it. I'd email them and see what happens.

You probably don't need replacement parts John, you may be able to repair what you have.

A slightly bent handle rod can be knocked back to straight (at least straight enough to work) using a few judicious hammer blows with the rod held on a block of wood. This won't damage the threading.

If it's really bent you might prefer to bend it back by clamping in a vice first, just below the bend and working it back either with gloved hands or with hammer/mallet blows. It might snap, but you have nothing to lose trying it and it could get you back up and running in just a few minutes. You can use copper or aluminium if you need to protect the vice jaws and/or the threading.

As for the knob, how badly knackered is it? Most damage to the handles on places is repairable, although obviously they won't look as nice as they once did :)

More apologies for sidetracking...
Hotstuff, I might have a break for you if your 110 is an older model. If these parts will fit you are welcome to everything in the pic below, bar the body which has been assimilated by Toys-R-Us into the "My First Plane Making Kit!" (TM, Suitable for ages 6-I'm an Idiot but I'm an Adult)
I'm 51% certain I still have them but rather than go tearing up the shed on a search for parts that don't fit, I'll have a look if they turn out to be suitable for your model.
Blade and rear handle (both in the same condition as below.) The front knob if I can find it, has a small crack if memory serves. They'll take some digging out if indeed I didn't bin them but I'm pretty sure I didn't/wouldn't have done because of You Never Know. On the other hand I might have done because of God Almighty I Can't F*****g Move in Here! Enough! And the Rage is the reason I can't remember.

Let me know on here or by PM and if they fit and and if I can find them I'll send them to you. Bit like the A-Team.
Bit tenuous lol but it might work out! (hammer)
Cheers
Chris

Oh dear sorry to read that. I use rubber matting on the floor along the length of my bench for that very reason. However it may not have saved a direct hit to the handle.

I would email LN direct if you have no luck with Classic Hand Tools or Axminster.
