Some woodworkers in the past have expressed concern that tulip wood dents easily... Do you have any experience of that or has it been OK in your experience?

I was probably one of those people, we switched to beech for a while. There were pro's and con's, harder but twists and bows more. In the end we switched back, just makes life simpler and at the end of the day it's what 95% of others use.
 
Vey nice - apart from the spice jars. Those Bart's spice jars are total rubbish. The either-way lids break off after a couple of uses.
Not that that's your fault, Bob...
