I've just ordered some sheets of generic 18mm hardwood plywood to make some "quick and dirty" workshop equipment stands. I was going to stick it all together with pocket hole screws and PVA. But I now realise I only have a box of the course 1-1/4" Kreg screws.

Will I get away with these? Or will the finer Kreg screws "for hardwood" really be necessary for hardwood ply?

Boz - trying to avoid the postage on another piffling small order...

I used the 1 1/4" coarse on some old hardwood ply a while back, I didn't even think about it at the time :) No problems though. I took the unit apart the other week as it was temporary, came apart ok too :)
