I still do 'hedgerow stuff' as Chas calls it
This is a 24" piece of natural edged macrocarpa that was felled a couple of years m ago. The stand is what was left of an old oak beam from a demolished cottage and the whole piece stands 39" tall. Finished with carnuba wax. The base was wire brushed first to get rid of the detritus it had accumulated over the years and then just buffed as it was. They are jined via a 9" steel rod that is only glued into the base so the top which is turned on both sides can swivel for a change if wished. Cooments, critique etc welcome as always.
