I had some iroku that i had no use for because 'er indoors didnt like the colour for jewellery boxes, so I made the quickest and dirtiest use of it by making two benches for a couple of the garden buddhas.
WARNING! Its not woodwork as most of you know it. Its all free hand bandsaw with no finishing at all, and swamped in clear poly to help it survive our weather.
but from a distance I think they look cute, and most important of all, I got brownie points!

Rustic is fine in that context as far as I'm concerned, very sympathetic styling and proportions to the statues.
