Works as a spoken one-liner, but doesn't survive being written down. This is of course true of most (all?) puns based on homophones, whether or not they include pictures of Star Trek characters, but it's nothing new, I can remember such intellectual delights as "What's black and white and re(a)d all over?" from my childhood, and I'm certainly not from the illiterati generation.
