Japanese Saws

I myself like Japanese saws, I purchased a set of three versions.
They are sharp and over five years of use I have yet not replaced a blade. One saw does not have a back plate and no kerf, that is very sharp and cleans up joint protrusions without damaging a body. Three saws for less than the price of one of those others is a bargain I reckon. Remember no resharpening costs, new blade about a tenner?

I have no experience of the Rutland ones but have a Sun Child which is highly recommended by David Charlesworth and a couple of others from Workshop Heaven which I find excellent too.
For very fine work I have some small Zona Razor ones.

I used them exclusively, till Ax butchered the price. Best thing since sliced bread IMO.

Roy.
