Ideas for an elaborate shop made wedding gift

My daughter and her boyfriend got engaged on Friday setting a date for mid 2015. I've decided that as well as anything else we get them I'd like to build a nice bedding chest......unless you guys can think of something else? I'm open to ideas.

Where can I find design ideas? I've got 18 months to work on it so want to make it a bit special, maybe a mix of woods, lots of dovetails etc.

I saw on one forum a member made a beautiful box as a wedding present and gave the happy couple the key on their first wedding anniversary, as your first anniversary is paper you could put in the obvious card from you and your wife or perhaps try some origami, may I suggest a rose?
