Oh please. We already have one Jacob baiting thread. Can we not de-rail another.

The plane wedge is pretty poor, and their carpenter's axe doesn't look to show the distinctive characteristics either (normally they have a straight cutting edge, not curved). Presumably done by soemone who knows more about art than tools.

Agreed. The smoothing plane looks to be low angled as well.

I've been busy sharpening my chisels. I don't know why because at the moment I can't do any woodwork with them. Well, I guess that's a good time to sharpen them. I tried the Paul Sellers method. Now suddenly I have rounded bevels Mind you, they are scary sharp. I can shave with my 2" chisel, as well as strip paper into fine shreds.
They don't cut wood so well though. (Well, of course I jest. They do actually; and as good as, if not better than they ever did. That's sharp enough for me. 8))
