Hi everyone, I have been asked to make a wooden drainer for a friends belfast sink but never made one and don't have a clue where to start "what wood" "glue" finish" ect, would anyone be kind enough to give me some idea's or perhaps a site where I can find the right info, any advise will be greatly appreciated, regards Matt.

Wood and finish should be the customers choose to a degree. Maybe see what there worktops are made from and what finish they have.

Glue, I use Titebond III for these type of products.

Tips. Have a drip bead. The bed needs to have a slight taper.

Start. Well after getting the required info from the customer I would cut the bed, make a jig to cut and taper the channels with a router, cut the channels and drip bead then do the rest and assemble.
