I've been offered some secondhand woodworking machines from a workshop clearance. Is there anything, apart from eBay completed sales, which can provide guideline prices?

It largely depends on the make and age.

For professional 3 phase equipment there seems to be 2 tier pricing, from a dealer, checked, tested and with a warranty will be worth much more than the same machine sold as seen from a private ebay sale.

Big brand names like Wadkin, Sedgwick, SCM, Axminster will have better sale value than lesser known brands.

If you want to name the machines it may easier to advise a source for pricing

I'd say older Axminster stuff is probably worth more than the newer Axminster stuff in general . They seem best described as 'box movers' nowadays. They'll get you the box quickly and replace what's in the box if its faulty with another box. Older Axminster machines seem to be made with much better quality control, hence the higher value.
