If you do make it pop over to the Classic Hand Tools stand where I'll be keeping and eye on their Lost Art Press section. We haven't met face to face, even though we've exchanged messages, and I'd like to be able to put a face to a name. Slainte.

It will be the first time visiting the show, can’t decide which day to go, is there any difference between the Saturday or Sunday?

Looking at the exhibitor listings is @Peter Sefton not there this year?
Have been a longtime demonstrator and exhibitor at the Harrogate show but won't be attending this year, hope all goes well for those who are visiting or working there next month.

Cheers

Peter
Doesn't look like it. Shame, as I usually spend some money with Peter.

I should be there on Friday

I'll be there with Snainton Woodworking on their stand showing some lovely Laguna machines with decent pricing offers on them, any members on here who are going, feel free to drop by and say 'Hi'

@Dave65 - Sunday tends to be less crowded in my experience as an exhibitor, far better if you want a bit more space to look and chat in detail with the people on the stands. There's also potential bargains to be had by getting display machines that exhibitors don't want to take home - that's assuming they want to sell them & haven't already been sold to people who are returning on the Sunday to collect though & they are collectable - yup I've seen wives sitting squashed in the back of a small car alongside all sorts of machinery that has been crammed in.. ;)

Cheers all, and see you if I see you
Nick

Thanks Nick, Sunday it is then, will leave the wife at home just in case :giggle:

I'm going Friday.

Yes, will be sad that Peter and WWW won't be there as I always spend a small fortune on their stand. At least Classic Hand tools are there, so won't come home empty-handed. And I can drool over the Laguna bandsaws and wish I had a workshop I could fit one in one day!

I'm going on Saturday. I catch a coach up with the local woodturning club. it's a long day ( 12 hrs) but seems to fly past. usually buy a lost art book. not a big spender at these affairs but like to get stuff that's a bit specialist.love the chats I've had over the decades!

We have Richard, at the last one:D on the saturday

I had a cork fedora on, the only notable thing about me. We chatted for about 10 mins or so. If I can go, I'll be wearing it again 🤠

Actually anyone from my way fancy going and sharing fuel costs, I'll be taking the Sedona (if I can go) so lots of space for kit etc and no squashing even with a laguna toy in the back

Oh, so we did. Sorry. The trouble with meeting people at shows as someone keeping an eye on a stand is that you meet so many that you forget who you've met. And I'm hopeless with remembering names anyway, even if I recall the face, ha, ha. Slainte.
