Guidance needed, which glue?

I'm making a stock for my rifle. Coming towards the end now, or so I thought! Decided to make a forend cap and need some advice on the strongest glue possible to attach it.

I tend to use epoxy resin on various wooden boat application which take some load. An advantage is that you can use fillers to bulk up the resin to make sure there are no voids.

Cool. That's what I've used so far. What do you mean by fillers?

You can buy fillers to bulk up the resin mix so that you use can use it to gap filling adhesive or create fillets. This table is useful http://www.westsystem.com/ss/fillers/
