Grey Scotch-brite velcro discs 150mm

Scotch Brite discs - do they exist? My other "defect" being cars - I've never even seen them in bodyshops and I've seen more than my fair share of 3M products.

You can get abranet padded discs at grits up to 2500 - no idea if they'd be what you need though. I've seen them at Yandles.

I have called these people to find out if they are velcro backed, they don't know at present but are trying to find out for me!

Unless you are using lots of pressure I don't think you need velcro backing, I cut the grey stuff up to use for sanding things on the lathe and it just sticks to the hooks on the pad.

CSM Abrasives has 150mm grey Webrax discs, if that is any use to you.

Bibielle make velcro backed surface conditioning discs which are similar to Scotchbrite in a range of grades

J&L do them. Have a look at their virtual cataloge page 828 for a better description, you can get to it via the home page.

As Dave says I just use a normal pad on my ROS, just keep it slow.
