My smoother has some light rust on the body so I'm looking at these to tidy it up. Are they any good and what grade should I get?

Are those garyflex blocks coated with abrasive or is the whole block abrasive?

No Tom, It's an abrasive block. The abrasive medium is held in a rubber carrier. I use mine as a rust ereaser, and it works a treat.

So it will keep cutting, even if it wears? I have one which is looking 'tatty' and I wasn't sure if I should bin it.
