Hi,

I couldn't post this in the official "For Sale" forum, because I just registered. However, this stuff is free if someone can pick it up.

These belonged to my Dad, but haven't been touched or used in 12 years. I imagine they'd still work (after a clean), but I'd like someone who knows what they're doing to take them. More to set my Mother's mind at rest than because I think they'd cause any harm.

Clarke motor un016 drill (might have to check this as I couldn't find it online)
clarke woodworker 37" wood lathe cwl 12d
clarke woodworker 12" band saw cbs12wv

The lathe, in particular, is pretty big. It's mounted onto a wooden base, so pretty heavy.

Think these were all bought new in about 1998 ish. I can send/post some dusty photos if anyone's interested.

Cheers

Chris

A very kind gesture Chris.

Do you not have an interest in woodworking yourself?

Neither my brother or I ever really picked it up. I'm alright with fixing things (take it apart, find the problem etc) and computers. Can't saw in a straight line though.

My brother thought we should sell them or put them on Gumtree or something, but because of the amount of time they've been left there, it would be nice to know that nobody's going to saw their fingers off or anything. I imagine if you're used to using them, you'd know what to check for, where to oil, how to replace blades etc. Pretty sure they'd be 100% fine!

They're near Leicester - not sure if I mentioned.

Please remember gents pm's require a minimum of three posts before they work, so Chris will need another post before they work, a simple acknowledgement of this post should suffice.

Finger's and toe's crossed, I'm sure i speak for everyone saying it's a very kind gesture giving tools away and much appreciated by all.

Regards, Ian.

Died a death Stu, Pm'd and sent email but no replies or acknowledgement so far.????

Just noticed the pm and email buttons have disappeared from his profile...

I am not interested in any of the tools as I already have some kit, but I would just like to say what a kind gesture.

Just noticed the pm and email buttons have disappeared from his profile.....Why do people do this, offer things, then never come back?

Lack of friend's perhaps???

I had just assumed whoever was at the front of the q got them.
Maybe he is just busy and has other priorities
