Fox Making an Eerie Noise

Just had a fox wandering about outside making the loudest screeching noise I've ever heard! Any idea why that would be? The cats were going mental :lol:

They stand at the traffic lights at the end of our road and call. And call, and call, and call. It sounds like a distressed child. At first we went out to see who was being harmed.

I think so. It seems to be the dog, walking up and down shrieking, and then he stands in the lights (where he's well illuminated). Presumably waiting for some hot fox-on-fox action.
