I can't understand why the 'noise' is so importaint? We now have 'racing' and the drivers have to actually drive their cars and not point and squirt. Yes the sound is different and if you want it louder then turn the volume up on the haunted fish tank? I don't like the 'droop snouts' though.

That was a comparason between an Indi 500 and F1 not F1/F1. I love the torque loading applied by the carefull belting of that hammer. Calibrated copper faced knockometer of course :roll:
 
Ah, the 50s, you got out at a pit stop, had a ciggie, a cup of tea and a buttie. I'm sure it would have been quicker to change the wheels with 4 bolts than hitting a "quick change spinner" with a sledge hammer for 1/2 an hour as shown in the vid!?!
