I'm sure lots of people, if not most people, are capable of doing it. The crucial thing is how long does it take.

If he made these 10 chairs in a few days, that would be good work.

And in any case they're not "hand made", he used a band saw and probably other machines not shown in the vid.

The small plane use to make the reeding (?) on the edge of the legs looks homemade ? Has it got a name? are they easy to make ? what would you use for the blade and have you made one,

You can make the blades out of a scraper blade but it must be a bit thicker than normal.
I use a Stanley 66 and the last set of blades I bought from Ray Iles, excellent set at first class value.
