It is a spiral block and not a helical block, difference is that the spiral block cutters are in the same plane as the drum whereas the helical block cutters are angled to the drum and so cut with a shearing action like a guilotine.

ah thanks - i didn't realise there was a difference. Again - this is all very new territory for me! I've been watching a good video by steve maskery on youtube servicing a PT, good watch to get an idea of how they work
