Email Problems

Help Please,

My email is giving me a headache.

I have had the same Talk Talk email address for several years without problem. but over the last few weeks I am intermittently not receiving some expected mail and some outgoing mail is not being received :x , (to & from different addresses) I use Windows Live Mail on my computer.

The obvious conclusion was the Windows Live Mail was the problem however when I went to the Talk Talk Web mail I expected to find the missing incoming mail but they were not there #-o . Sending emails from there seem to be ok.

Just to be sure when I checked my incoming emails on my Ipad they are not there either.

Has anybody experienced this problem recently :?: .

I know talk talk have started to stop supporting old tiscali email addresses, something to do with changing servers. Probably not relevant in your case as it sounds like the email address is still live. Sounds like a talk talk issue all the same.
 
I do have a Talk Talk email address. Spent a happy hour on the phone with their "technical" support, about as much help as a chocolate teapot :x

As normal they try to blame faults on your computer system with the "sorry we don't support this program and we don't support that program" #-o

They did not seem to grasp the point that some emails sent to me are not appearing in the talk talk Web mail inbox let alone in my computer Live mail. Same old problem that they work from a set list of questions and are unable to deviate from that.

I have received a number of phone texts to say they are investigating but so far that's all. Seems I have to wait 48 hours for them to sort it out

I would be the first to agree with the "generally you get what you pay for with tools, (hammer) but I have been with talk talk for about twelve years except for 1 disastrous year with BT and throughout that time have never had cause to complain with the service or prices. Just disappointed at their reaction now, not to say it would be any different with other providers.

Seems to be the same generally with customer service now days all is well until things go pear shaped, in my opinion

Waiting to see what happens on Monday with their response on the problem. :)

Not at all. We are with Zen and their tech support and customer service is still superb. As I said 'You get what you pay for' !! :wink: :)

Western Power Distribution are also superb at customer service and fixing problems.

Out of curiosity, during those 12 years did you need to contact customer service? Maybe it's always been bad...certainly Googling seems to suggest TalkTalk aren't the best.
 
We have 2 computers and use the internet extensively on a daily basis and in the 12 years never had a problem with internet or email so never needed to contact their tech team =D> until now #-o
