Well my eBay buy has turned out to be more of
a problem than not cutting straight.
Was giving it a good looking at Sunday and the whole guide fell
off.... Do not know if you can buy parts for my band saw...??
It was just stuck together with double sided tape and bolted tight,
No matter what I tried I could not get it to cut straight and this
could be the answer...Just a wild Guss on my part.
It is buyer beware when making a second hand purchase on eBay
but have tried to contact the guy with no success...
You can see why it broke the casting was a bad one and bubbles formed
weakening the piece.

So no band saw for a while..
Think I bought a sick puppy.

Hi - That part should be readily availble through metabo

go to metabo.co.uk for contact details and they should be able to let you know which dealer is local and also give you price (maybe £19ish??)

It's a common part and I'd guess is in stock - even for 315 (older) version - not aware 316 model has changed

Hope this helps

Cheers

Hope you get it sorted soon; Metabo should definitely be able to help you out. :)

Sorry, I'm not clear from the photos - is this from the blade guides or the fence? Or, have I got it completely wrong?

Thanks OPJ, It was the blade guide was...Not heard back from Metabo..
yet..

That's the reason I opted for the band saw wizer, table saw I want
is a bit out of my price range, so got the BAS 315 to help with most
small cutting jobs..& Like you I should have gone for one with more depth:lol:
Any way..15 mins ago friend dropped a knock up piece to tide me over..
He is busy over the next few weeks and did not want to leave it
that long. The temp fits great...:lol::lol:

Will give it a bit of a fettle in the morning...

Had a go at setting the saw up again but it is still not cutting
straight...Arrrg
It is great for rough cutting and chopping small logs also
knocking corners of blocks..But I wanted to do more than rough work
with it..

what blade are you using?
Your right am getting another blade..must be cheap or used for
circular cutting..I know you got yours from Dragon and it is closed 'but'
did you try any other blades before you got the Dragon blades..?
Have read all the posts on band saw blades and there is no definitive
answer to the blade question..
Suppose it is try and move on..
