Hi All
Been lurking for a week or two and have enjoyed a lot of the threads.
I am going to make myself an MG drop box, but would appreciate some pointers. I shall only be collecting fine sanding dust from the lathe, some of which will be by power sanding.
Will a Henry type vac give enough suck at the hood (axy bendi hose), which is 75mm dia. having gone through the box?
If so, is there an optimum size of box that I should build?
Basically the reason for this is much cheapness compared to a camvac setup. I would still like an MG box to cut down on filter cleaning, so again is size of box important?
The camvac would be a 336 twin 2.5 inch.
Thanks in advance
Steve

I really doubt a henry will give you what you want here. If you have access to one there is no harm testing the setup however.

Sorry.

Hi Pete
Thanks for your response.
My thinking was the MG drop box with a Charles (Henry) that Mike shows in his setup and him saying that it collects a lot of fine dust.
Maybe no good on a lathe with more free air laden dust.
